Case Study: Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance Website (TOA) Redesign

Overview

Following a recent merger that expanded TOA’s provider network and service footprint, EHS led a comprehensive redesign of TOA.com to align with modern specialty healthcare design standards and strengthen the practice’s digital patient experience.

The new site launched in November 2025, delivering a contemporary, patient-first interface that blends TOA’s compassionate approach to care with its advanced surgical expertise.


The Challenge

TOA’s previous website design no longer reflected the scale and sophistication of the growing organization. With an expanding roster of physicians and office locations resulting from multiple orthopedic group mergers, TOA needed a more intuitive digital experience that could:

  • Seamlessly guide patients to the right provider and office.
  • Improve mobile usability and accessibility.
  • Provide a flexible foundation for future growth and content expansion.

The site’s architecture and navigation required strategic re-evaluation to accommodate the influx of new pages across specialties, providers, and regions — while maintaining a clear and easy-to-navigate patient journey.


The Solution

EHS rebuilt the TOA website from the ground up with a new Bootstrap-based stylesheet to ensure optimal responsiveness and consistency across all devices. The redesign was completed iteratively over a six-month Growth Retainer engagement, allowing for continuous collaboration, testing, and refinement.

A key focus was the streamlining of the appointment scheduling process. EHS designed a smart, user-centric scheduling flow that integrates with DASH by Radix — TOA’s preferred scheduling system — across multiple Radix accounts. The new system functions as a centralized scheduling hub, automatically routing patients to the correct account and scheduling page based on their selected provider or location.

In addition to enhanced usability, the new TOA.com leverages EHS’s latest content management framework and component library, giving TOA’s internal team the flexibility to build optimized, visually consistent pages that support both traditional SEO and emerging AI/AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategies.


The Results

While early analytics are still being collected, the redesign has positioned TOA for sustainable digital growth and operational efficiency. With a more powerful CMS foundation, improved content structure, and seamless scheduling integrations, the new website enhances TOA’s ability to serve patients quickly, accurately, and confidently — online and on any device.
