Our most recent healthcare website launch is for Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC). PMC is a large healthcare group in our home state of North Carolina with more than 16 individual locations and dozens of physicians, PAs, and other providers. It's always fun to take on the challenge of designing, developing and optimizing a site as large and with as much rich content as PMC's website. We're proud of the result and are thrilled to offer our services, partnership and support to their organization now and in the future.
PMC's previous website was a WordPress application that had outgrown that platform. After years of plugins, templates, themes and extensions had piled up, the administrative backend had become difficult to use for even the most simple of content updates, and the front-end was in pretty critical need a more thoughtful restructuring to better organize and present the excellent content PMC had cultivated over the years. Our process began as all of our website projects do - with a thorough evaluation of the client's content, pages, Analytics, and organizational needs. We then developed a new sitemap and wireframe best organized their existing content and provided a cleaner platform for scaling as new content will be added in the future. Our creative team then developed a fully custom, responsive, mobile-first design that reinforces PMC's branding and better showcases their providers, locations, services and resources content. And with our Echo by E-dreamz CMS, PMC will no longer have difficulty making content updates on the backend. Our content management tools are completely customized to the specific templates, components, content and layouts used in their unique website design - making backend updates simple for even a novice web administrator.
The previous PMC website was several years old and was built on the WordPress platform. Like most WP sites, it was structured with various plugins and extensions controlling different content sets throughout the site. The PMC team desired a fresh, modern look, along with a more reliable, secure and easy-to-manage CMS. They also wanted to enhance their overall user experience with new content, a better flow, and more focused points of engagement.
