I am exhausted. The green has never looked so far away. I've been in this sandtrap a thousand times. My feet are hot and sweaty - seemingly sinking into an empty abyss of broken promises and shattered dreams. My pants feel heavier than the weight of the expectations my family has placed upon me. The crowd heckles me with core-cutting barbs not appropriate for the golf course - hitting me like a Eurorail train. My sunglasses fail to block the sun but do a fine job of dulling my once bright future.
